Toothache is evil.

Seriously, I have never experienced pain this bad before. :|
Normal 500mg paracetamol wasn't doing the job, not to mention supermarkets can only sell a maximum of 32 tablets at any one time and I managed to get through a pack and half in 24hrs (exceeding the recommended daily dosage by 8 tablets).
So SUnday night I was working til 7am, and I had previously volunteered to do a spare 2 til 10pm shift on the Monday (only 7hrs between my shifts; the legal minimum rest period being 11hrs), so I get home and instead of being able to get 4hrs of sleep that I really needed, I had to stay awake because of the evil pain of doom.
Before work, I left early enough to go to the pharmacy to pick up some stronger stuff. They gave me some Paramol, which contains 500mg Paracetamol and 7.46mg Dihydrocodeine Tartrate. The recommended I take an Ibuprofen tablet too, but I don't want to risk it as before it's set off my asthma, and I can do without that as well as a toothache.
The new tablets seem to be working fine (just as well ebcause they were bloody expensive). The pain is literally gone within about 15 miinutes of taking the tablet, and last about 8 hrs before the pain become intolerable again.
In the mean time, I'm going to phone my dentist in the morning and ask how I go about getting an emergency appointment, as I have a checkup booked already but it's not til next month and I'm not waiting that long, and I really don't want ot drive to the nearest Accident & Emergency hospital 10 miles away.
I first thought it was probably just a loose filling that needed seeing to, as that has happened before, but I'm guessing now it may be more serious, as I've had a filling break away before and it was nowhere near this painful. Possibly an infection, so lucky my might soon be talking about how evil root canals are. :P
