w00t, i have to tell you my triumphant tale about the awkward customer i had this evening.

Despite the fact that I am usually the front counter manager at work, I only just got my first really bitchy customer. The story is as follows.

I was nearing the end of my 10-6 shift, I had just finished cashing up the day tills and was covering the shift manager on drive thru window 3 while she checked the takings and put the float money away. We had a promotional McFlurry on recently, "Munchies" (dunno if you have them in the US or wherever) , but we had literally just run out and the next customer had ordered and paid for four of them through drive thru.
I apologised for the inconvenience and offered to refund or replace the McFlurries for a different flavour. She said she wanted Smarties Flurries AND her money back. Quite rightly, I said I couldn't do that. Bear in mind I am NOT a very customer-friendly person when being held at, and was doing quite well at stopping my sarcastic comments from flying out at her.
She told me that if she didn't get what she wanted she was just going to stop there and block off the drive thru, and promplty pulled on the handbrake and crossed her arms. I went and got her the refund, and the address and phone number for customer services, and said that if she wanted to take it further she would have to contact them. She gave me a lecture about why she was right to make her demands and how the till system should tell everyone the stock levels, and how the service was always terrible every time she comes here. I lost my cool at that point and told her not to come back.
She asked if she could borrow my pen then asked for my name, so pilotely let her use my pen, and gave her my first name only. She asked for my surname, and I refused. She starts having another go about why I have to give her my name. I explained that I have rights aswell as she does, so she got in a huff and threw my pen at me, which was good because it's the only one I have left, lol, and started driving off.
Just to top it off, I leant out the window as she drove away and called: "Have a nice day!"

Because we are a franchise, all customer services will do is send a fax to my boss (who will probably agree with me, lol) and ask him to contact them. He will come to us and ask about it and I'll tell him the true version. I have a trainee manager and a couple of crew members as witnesses to the event. hehe!

ehh, friends seem to be slipping away... or am i unknowingly pushing them away? woudln't suprise me. i know there are a few people i avoided for a short time, but now everyone always seems to be busy until i am.

i sometimes wonder if people talk to me because they have some hidden agenda, woudlnt' be the first time... prolly why i have such a problem with trusting people in the first place...

i almost managed a full day in a good mood. but for no reason i just feel so... "bleh" ?
i dunno, really. i want to get some help with stuff from someone, but i dunno who, or how to approach them........ meh, why bother?
