football... me?

yeah, so yesterday some peoples from work were playing football afterwards and for some reason decided to invite me along. For some reason I said I would, despite not having played football for like, 7 years.

Haha, and Ben made a Curry McFlurry on his break... looked lovely. *puke*
He didn't eat it, obviously. lol

So, I finished at 4, and came back at 5 to meet them, then we went off to Karla's house so she could get changed and whatnot. Then headed to Sportsworld because nobody had a football. It being Sunday, everywhere seemed to be closed, so we went to Josh's house to find one in the jungle at the back of his garden. Well okay it's not really a jungle... Just a big overgrown bit of crapland. Eventually we found the ball in the middle of the tallest stinging nettles you've ever seen, and little Matt wrapped up and went right in there and kicked it out (bless). Funniest thing ever. Almost.

Ben seemed to enjoy looking for embarrasing songs on my iPod, and unfortunatly he found one Spice Girls track, and something by the Backstreet Boys. lol, HONESTLY, I don't listen to them.

So we get to Brinton's Park in and find a spot to play, which was quite amusing. After a while we joined up with these other guys and had a good laugh. Mostly at my expense when I tripped over the ball, and jumped out of the way of the big guy on the opposite team -- got a nice bruise from where he kicked me, lol -- but yeah, it was a good laugh.

Afterwards we went to the Watermill for some food, and had to move several times due to ant infestations and the smell of dog shit. I was the only one that finished mine... And I stole Josh's mushrooms and onion rings too. hehe.

Then we just sat inside for a few drinks talking for a while til we got kicked out at closing time.

My mum just realised that my sister passed her driving test on the same day that I did. I passed mine on 20th July 2004... And we both passed first time. Crazy!

Short Circuit

At last! I finally found the DVD of Short Circuit! I've had SC2 for a while, but I could never find the first movie. Just watched it for the first time in about 10 years. lol, I love that movie. twas just a chance finding in Woolworths this afternoon... £4.99 = bargin!

Also, sorry for not updating in ages.
Things are going generally well, but in this goddamn heat I just can't be bothered lol.

I hate hot weather. :(

Me and Ashley seem to be becoming a regular thing, so I'm pretty happy about that.
Although Duane is a bit of a pain at times about it... *sigh*

Also, my sister, Nat, passed her driving test today, so congrats to her, and commisserations to everyone else on the road :P

But yeah, all seems good at the moment. ^_^

Excuse me if I just have an emo moment here... lol.

So, in less than 5 hours I'll be 23, but I get the distinct feeling that this is going to live in infamy as a shit birthday. The parachute jump I was supposed to be doing is apparently cancelled. Cos I was doing that I didn't get anyone to book the night off work so must of my friends are working, so there seems little point in going out. Can't even have a family thingy cos everyone decided to go to Spain. hmm...

Couple that with the general crappiness in other parts of my life and we are well set up for a brilliant birthday. Going for drinkies tonight, but it feels more like its drowning my sorrows... never a good thing.

Might just stay in bed all day tomorrow...
