Will... Not... Turn... # 02 September 2003 19:15
Heh, I went down town earlier. I was going to wait until after my driving lesson, but then I remembered I don't have one this week because my instructor is on holiday.
So anyway, I went down town and bought the novel of The Lord of the Rings. I can finally read it at last!
WHSmith had an offer on, so I bought The Hobbit and The Silmarillion aswell. Labels: books, driving
Phew! # 05 August 2003 11:44
Found my wallet... In a place that I'd looked three times already... I hate it when that happens. 'tis just as well I found it, because I got a driving lesson later and I need to be able to pay for it. Labels: driving

Grr... just got back from my driving lesson. Usually when I get back, I just pull up on the road in front of my house. But my dad decided to park his car there, so when I got back, my instructor made me drive to the end of the road and do the most awkward 3-point-turn ever, then come back up and reverse-park next to my dads car.

Crazy Afternoon # 15 July 2003 15:13
My alarm went of at 9am, but I ignored it, and was woke up at 2pm by the phone - it was my driving instructor wanting to know where I was - Oops.
So I pretended I couldn't find the key to the front door, and quickly got dressed and rush outside. Luckily he didn't seem to mind. So we drove done to Kidderminster and out towards Bewdley. The topic of todays lesson was roundabouts and three-point turns. I'm pleased to say that I successfully did my first 3-point turn without hitting the kerb, yay!
Then when I eventually got home, I noticed it is around 92 degrees Farenheit, so my wishes for air conditioning in the car were not unjustified.... Labels: driving, weather

Okay, okay... Due to frequent nagging, I'll put up what happened on my first driving lesson:
The instructor arrived at the house on time, amazing, considering usually nobody can find my house, but anyway first he went through all that boring stuff and the rules etc, then he drove up the Kingsway, which is a quiet country lane that runs almost along the border of my town. Then I DROVE! Gasp!
I went along Kingsway, up the hill, followed the road round and turned left down Windermere Way, along there with all them stupidly parked cars, and past the Stourport High School. Luckily they still had a while left toill they finished, otherwise I'd have had to navigate through a mess of parents... *shudders* Then I turned onto the main Minster Road, and back along into the Kingsway, where I was explained a few more things.
THEN, I went back up the hill, and instead of going down Windermere Way, we went straight down to Burlish Crossroads, and turned left at the traffic lights, they were on green so I didn't have to worry about stopping. But, I did almost go down the wrong side of the road because I didn't steer sharply enough... hehe. Then I went along Bewdley road and turned into my street and went back to my house... Nothing major. Didn't kill anyone yet.
Part 2 coming soon... (The lesson is tomorrow, so I should have it up by the end of the month...) Labels: driving

Uh oh... First drive lesson in 35mins... You would not believe how nervous I am. I've been worse though, like when I have had to read something out in fron of the class when I went to school...
On a nervousness scale of 1 - 10, 1 being "Yay! I'm so happy!" and 10 being "Holy Sith, I'm gonna die..." I'd say I am at about 8... Labels: driving

Well, it was raining this morning, and I was just thinking that Summer had finished already, when the sun reappeared and melted us all again.
I finally booked driving lessons! My first one is tomorrow... So when I told my grandad he said that both he and my mum were doorhandle/wing-mirror collectors when they were learning... Let's hope I take after my dad. Also, someone I know is selling their Mini... I might buy it, but I dunno wheteher I can afford to take out the loan :/
And more good news! I'll be going up to £4.35 per hour at McD's, not brilliant, but could be worse :p Labels: driving, weather, work
